Unit 1 English

In Unit 1 of English, we had a worksheet about ourselves in good and bad  physical health, social health, mental health, and spiritual health. We also learned about  Proper and common adjectives, positive, comparative and superlative forms of the words and much more for the English grammar.We learned so much more about those particular topics.

Unit 1 healthy living

For our Unit 1 healthy living, we had Pilates with Aisha`s mom. she teached us how to show good posture and some basic moves of Pilates. Yes it`s true that our muscles hurt while we were doing it, well it`s because we stretch them but, if we do it everyday, it can make your body more flexible.

Unit 1 Week 2 - Indonesian Studies - Bahasa Indonesia - ICT activities in highlight

In unit 1 week 2, we had a B.I project. We had to read a story about Mirah dari Marunda and we discussed about the story and new vocabulary from the story.  After that we learned how to summarize a story. We also learned to make comic of the story Mirah dari Marunda. It took a long time but we did it! - By: Kayla

P.E. sometimes could make us tired, but it was fun and healthy. Before we start, we have to do warming up. Pak Chairul always remind us that doing exercise is very healthy for us.

And we also did I.C.T which is making our own news paper with publisher program.  It was hard because we had to put the layouts properly and we have to make each text box filled with words. We have to develop our research skills such as do research, collecting information, and organizing information.  After that we have to present the research in our project. It was difficult,  but now, it`s easy for us because our teacher already showed us how to do it.

Unit 1 week 4 -Guest Speaker with Ms.Lisa Namuri - Pilates & Flag Ceremony Practice

To support our UOI, the we have guest speaker - Ms.Lisa Namuri - she is a Yoga and Pilates certified teacher. She came to our school to share her knowledge about her skills teaching Yoga and Pilates.  She explained about the importance of having healthy mind and body.  We learned to live in Balance to stay healthy.



In Unit 1 week 4,we had Pilates with aunt Lisa(Aisha's mom). It was a very nice journey. she taught us some basic moves of Pilates. we had so much fun, she also taught us about good posture. we are very thankful that she come. - by: Kayla

In Unit 1 week 4 we also had a practice for a ceremony. This ceremony is special because, year 5 students are the ones who will be the ceremony officers. We practiced for 2 weeks with Pak Chairul, Ms.Lenny, Bu Laningsih and Pak Agung.  We are so proud to get this opportunity to lead our monthly flag ceremony.            (Made By:Kayla)

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!

Happy Independence day for everyone.
Independence day  is a very special day because, in Indonesia we are having our independence day. 17 August is the day when all of us have ceremony which is suppose to make us remember about all of the heroes who already help us until they have to risk their lives for our victories. Every 17 August we always celebrate this day with full of respect and pride. This year is our 71 year of independent, since now is 17 August 2016 and we got our victory at the 17 August 1945. What i want to say is that, we as Indonesian have to be proud of our country.  So, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!

WEEK 1 TUNING-IN ACTIVITY

 This week, we started our Unit of Inquiry of WHO WE ARE.

The central idea : Personal well-being depends on a complex balance of inter-connected factors.

We had tuning in activities for this uoi by watching some short videos about well-being, class discussion and filled the KWL chart.

We also started our violin class, PE, Maths and English.

We worked in pairs to do maths tuning in activity about numbers by arranging the place value from the price list catalogue we bring and to write numbers correctly in numerals and in words.

In groups about wellbeing in PSHE focusing on why being healthy is important and how to get healthy not only physically but also emotionally and spiritually.

We learned about adjectives in English, we learned how to use the adjectives in the sentences too.

We played hockey in PE and have to show cooperation with our team mates, and developing our social skills such as respecting others and cooperating.

In Music Class, Ms.Venus introduced us with the Violin such as how to use and take care of it.  We must stay focus in music class.

It is very important to take care our music instrument and being principled in music class.
